What drives a person to be attracted or otherwise be in love with another? Guess no one has a definite concrete answer to that. When scanning some books, all we can see are theories that the common populace can't even understand. True that it has something to do with the concept of perceptions; the reaction of internal and external stimuli. Basically, it refers to the dynamic process of assimilating and organizing sensations. Does this explain it? Does this explain why your pulse rate seems to reach 160 every time that someone shows up, and you experience a severe case of dyspnea? Exaggerated of course, but somewhat true. Most people can't deny that this gut sensation exists. There is no hard based fact why these things happen, except maybe for the basic concepts of human nature and instinct. Attraction, the way I see it, is the result of the accumulation of the different individual positive qualities of a person thus being appreciated and admired holistically. Love on the other hand is the result of long term attraction between individuals. But sad to say, these are only results. The whole process I really can't explain.

An intellectual would say that it is all in the mind. But think about this; throughout history, the Heart has always been the symbol for Love. Why? - Maybe we can say that the brain is too hard to draw in the first place. Joke - Truthfully, the brain is responsible for this cognitive process, but the Heart was and is commonly regarded as the source. So to say, that the Heart is the center of the being. The feeling emanates from the center of the body which is the chest, where the Heart lies. - Haven't you noticed? Every time that person passes by, first manifestation would be the tightening of the chest. - I am actually implying truth here. These wonderful sensations or otherwise reactions can't be disregarded by people, especially those who are in Love.

Why did I fall? Why am I feeling this way? Why am I happy? Why am I hurt? Common questions asked when concerning this topic. There is a scientific explanation to that, more like anatomically and physiologically. But living in this world where people trust more their senses and what they believe than the hard based truth, guess science does not explain everything. So to say, it all boils down to a person affecting the emotion of another person. A complexity between the auras of two or more individuals. Love and Attraction are two abstract concepts. Unexplainable. But this essence is the one making it beautiful in the first place.

Most of us were victims of the so called "unpleasant effects" that Love and Attraction brings. It is really believable when people would say that Love blinds. It blinds the Truth - That the only thing a person could see are false blurred chances. It blinds the Obvious - That the only thing a person could perceive are false hidden meanings. It blinds the Wrong - That the only thing a person would consider are false rights. There things are undeniable at times. Especially when facing the bitter side of this topic.

Every one of us has our own heartache. So to say, a melancholic Love story. Every reason is unique for a certain individual, but when viewed holistically seems so general. A person cries for this person because of this and that. Because of reasons that he/she alone could comprehend. But it seems so easy for everyone to understand and ride on with their empathy. Wonder why? Because even though experiences and reasons differ, it still boils down to the Love and the emotion it brings (which everyone could readily relate) To the tears that follow. To the nights wherein we seem to wake up and think of his/her face. To the thought of remembering the moments spent.

My heart got broken once, and I know yours too. The experiences we encountered are not easy to forget. It leaves a scar in our hearts. A permanent one. But as people would say, "Hard experiences makes us learn, makes us better and wiser" It is not the downfall that matters but the way you rise up to it. The way you accept the Truth. At this point, the blindness that Love brings is not around or at least is reduced to a certain state. At this point, you could see better, and Love wiser as we grow older and older, oh well, I am too old now.

There are two sides of Love and Attraction. The bitter and the sweet. We need a taste of both in order for us to really comprehend its essence and enjoy the splendor it brings.
